Welcome! As a learning scientist + designer, my research explores how we can understand, design, and support meaningful educational discourses through analytics-informed approaches. Positioned at the intersection of learning design, learning sciences, learning analytics, and human-computer interaction, my research (1) investigates the dynamic patterns of collaborative discourse in technology-enhanced learning contexts (e.g., AI-assisted conversations, social annotation) using learning analytics techniques, and (2) designs and implements actionable analytics-informed solutions (e.g., student-facing personalized messages) that foster rich interactions among learners, educators, data/information, and digital tools.
Before joining Texas A&M, I served as an assistant professor at the University of Memphis, after the completion of my Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Educational Communication and Technology from New York University, where I worked in NYU-LEARN (Learning Analytics Research Network). Before coming to the U.S., I completed my M.A. and B.A. degrees in Educational Technology from Ewha Womans University, South Korea.
